"What is he looking for?" they asked. "What are we looking for?" I replied: "For something unique, something valuable, ...? Or is the search itself the added value in life?"

A new work currently decorates the interior of Café Metropole, Leuven's 'Grote Markt'. The previous work has changed hands. Come and see, ... and, who knows, maybe you too will be seduced?

"Wat is jouw talent?' vroegen ze. "Waarschijnlijk het 'spotten' van dode dieren", bedacht ik, "ze verbergen zich niet en zijn gemakkelijker te vinden."

"What is your talent?" they asked. "Probably spotting dead animals," I thought, "they don't hide and are easier to find."

"Is dit 'Black Friday?' vroegen ze. "Misschien wel" antwoordde hij. "Maar, het zou net zo goed een vogelverschrikker kunnen zijn op zoek naar stilte en reflectie in het woud."

"Is this Black Friday?" they asked. "Maybe" he replied, "but, it might as well be a scarecrow looking for quiet and reflection in the forest."

#51 - 60 x 60 cm - Acryl and Indian ink on mdf - 500 euro (BTW inclusief - VAT included)

Plots daagde het. Dwalend door de wereld. Fluo is alom aanwezig. In bepaalde verhoudingen krijgt het iets dreigends, iets onwezenlijks. Kriskras geplaatst in een banaal landschap, in een niet nader genoemde stad, gooit haar aanwezigheid vragen op ... en geen plausibel antwoord. 

Suddenly it dawned to me. Wandering through the world. Fluo is everywhere. In certain proportions it takes on something menacing, something unreal. Placed criss-cross in a banal landscape, in an unnamed city, her presence throws up questions ... and no plausible answer.
